Chapter 3

Where to begin?
Breast
Breast Shapes
Archetypical
The standard. The breasts are full and round coming to a small point at the nipple. This is the shape most sought-after and the shape most bra manufacturers use when designing new bra designs.
Asymmetrical
One breast is larger than the other.
Bell Shaped
Slimmer at the top, fuller at the bottom.
Conical Breast
The base of the breast is typical, but the breast shape is more cone-like than round with the conical breast shape. This conical shape can have issues with filling out the front of the cup because of their smaller size.
Thin Breast
Thin breasts are where the base of the breasts have a smaller circumference than standard breasts. Also called tuberous breasts, this smaller breast circumference causes the breast shape to appear slim and long.
Omega Breast
The Omega breast shape occurs with mostly large cup-sized breasts. Also known as “ball-shaped breasts” it is a shape that occurs over time.
Pendulous
The breasts have a fair bit of hang and have a longer shape with most of its fullness on the lower part of the breast.
Round
Equally full at the top and the bottom.
Side Set
Wide space between the breasts.
Swooping Breasts
The breasts do not sag but slightly bend inwards above the areola. This results in the breast to bend so the nipples point upwards and are slightly vertical to the ground.
Tear Drop
Round but slightly less full at the top.
Bust Size
Though writers tend to use cup sizes or measurements these numbers really mean nothing to the reader. Only about ten percent of all women wear the right size of brassier. With small breast women wearing ones that or to big and big breasted women wearing ones that are to small. Plus almost every other country use the metric system. So if someone said she had a 92 bust that would sound outrageous to an american since it is in centimeters. It may be better to compare them to some ever day item that the reader has seen and/or held to get an idea of size. Here are a few examples.
