Breakfast

"Where you heading off to?" Kelly asks as you as you open the door.

"Uh, I don't know, breakfast I guess?" you respond.

"Mind if I join you," she asks as she gets up. She's wearing a black one-piece romper that only goes a little way down her thighs. It also shows off her cleavage nicely. She's wearing wooden wedge heels and a big black sun hat.

"Sure," you say, along with a final goodbye to Stacy. The two of you head to the elevator and get in. As it goes up, you jokingly ask, "So, you didn't come back last night. Does that mean what I think it means?"

Kelly smirks. "Maybe, maybe not."

"Okay, that's how it is..." you respond.

"A big portion of this ship knows each other. Keeping secrets is important, especially in this case."

"Oh, I see. You got someone to cheat!"

"I didn't say that!" Kelly quickly interjects.

The elevator doors open, and the two of you walk out and start towards the breakfast area. You laugh, "Come on, I won't tell."

"Yes you will," she whispers.

That seemed serious. You stop, thinking of who it could be that would affect you personally. "Kelly, who is it?"

"It's private," she says, but you know that's not the reason she won't tell you. Kelly storms ahead, but you reach out and grab her arm. She turns around and looks at you, a worried look on her face.

You let go of her. "Okay, let's just eat breakfast then. Forget about it?"

"Okay," Kelly agrees.

You head throughout the buffet, selecting from a variety of your favorite foods all laid out before you. You look around seeing a mass of 18-19 year olds grabbing bacon, waffles, eggs, and more. You and Kelly find a table by the window. You see Cameron sitting at a table by herself over on the other side of the room. Thinking you should invite her over, you're about to get up when Jake walks by carrying two plates of food, the other presumably for Cameron. "Hey Aaron...Hey Kelly," he says as he passes by. Something about his tone felt...weird.

You greet him in reply, but Kelly only mumbles a soft, "Hey," without even raising her head from her plate.

You begin to piece things together, and you turn to Kelly. She tenses up, and the second you ask, "Jake?" she gets up and quickly walks out of the breakfast area without a word. You watch Jake and see his eyes follow Kelly as she exits. Then, his eyes dart quickly over to you, and before he can look away, the two of you make eye contact. You know, and now he knows you know.
