Breakfast

"Great, she ruined it. I can't post this," Alexis complains loudly. "Come on, it's not that bad. We still have time before we need to meet the others at the mall. Let’s just do another take," Sarah tries to calm her down.

"You don't get it. Moms will probably finish preparing breakfast soon, and we won't have time for another take," exclaims a frustrated Alexis. "Hmm… just post it anyway. We should keep up the regular uploads to fuel the algorithm. It’s better to post something imperfect than nothing at all. As long as it keeps the algorithm recommending us, it should be fine. We can always delete it in a couple of days or weeks," reasons Sarah.

"I know, but while it's up, it's still going to be a stain on my profile," Alexis explains, feeling defeated. Sitting around the kitchen table, Alexis and Sarah discuss their plans for the mall and inform Joanne that they will likely be back in the late afternoon. They decide to post the TikTok anyway, including Emily in it, unaware of Emily’s mistake.

Meanwhile, Emily has made plans to meet her best friend, Stephanie, to go to a local lake not far out of town. They recently bought new bikinis, which Stephanie is eager to show off.

After finishing her breakfast, Emily heads to her room to change into her bikini. She puts on a cute, flowery yellow sundress that reaches down to her knees, then grabs a towel and some sunscreen from the bathroom and waits for Stephanie to pick her up. Shortly after, Stephanie arrives in the new Cabrio her parents bought her for finishing high school the previous week, and Emily excitedly jumps into the passenger seat.

"Hey, I can see you're excited to show off your new bikini," Stephanie says, referring to the somewhat daring bikini she convinced Emily to buy. It took a lot of convincing for Stephanie to persuade Emily to break her usual habit of wearing more conservative swimsuits.

"Hmpf. Don’t remind me. I hope there won’t be too many people. I'm not sure I’ll be comfortable strutting around in that just yet," Emily replies skeptically.

"Oh, don’t worry! You look absolutely stunning in it. All the boys will be gawking at you," Stephanie says encouragingly. "That’s the problem. I don’t want the boys gawking at me. I’m not that exciting anyway."

"Haha! You have no clue. You won’t even know what’s happening to you. But maybe we can find you a nice boyfriend," Stephanie says with a wink.
