Breakfast

The morning sun bathed our small dining area in a golden hue as we sat across from each other, a comfortable silence between us. We exchanged smiles, simple glances, all while enjoying our breakfast—a routine we'd perfected over the years. The unsaid words and revelations from the night before still lingered, adding a new layer of complexity to our usual quiet morning routine.

As we finished our breakfast, I got up to leave for work. As was our ritual, we shared a hug, her body fitting perfectly into mine. Her scent filled my senses, reminding me once again of the night before, and I felt a shiver of anticipation run down my spine.
