Chapter 23
by Blurred_Words
So, that happened. What's next?
Breakfast with your bedmates
“Um, hi?”
Pete’s words matching the confusion going on my head. My heart pounding, knowing that he is able to give me the release that Josh wasn’t able to “Didn’t really expect to see you again, especially not in my kitchen. Or in a towel.”
Damn, my body froze – I am in a towel. A towel and panties. In my random hook-ups house, who is roommates with my other random hook-up.
“Pete – have a girl over, leave her be.” The shout from the bathroom as Josh alerts his roommate to my presence a bit too late.
“Kinda see that.”
My words still haven’t come back to me, frozen in what can only be shock. Or is it lust. Or just a lack of blood to my brain.
“Well, do you want a water, or coffee?”
Pete, wearing nothing but a pair of gym shorts, slowly giving away that he can remember what is under my towel, and what happened last time we were together.
“Coffee, please.” Words finally returning, even if the rest of my body hasn’t.
The silence only grows while Pete pours the rest of the coffee in a cup, and sets it on the counter near me before starting up a second pot.
The smell of the caffeine finally returning control to my limbs as I grab the cup and head to the fridge to look for milk or creamer or something.
“So, hi. And thanks for the coffee.” A big sip, “and hi again, I guess.” Not the most elegant words, but words at least.
“Not how I was expecting to start the weekend, but hi to you too. Guess you were the one to leave your clothes on the bathroom floor last night.”
I could feel the blood shooting to my face… and then to my privates. If he saw my clothes then he knows that I have nothing on under the towel. Any control over my body was once again lost
Just when the awkwardness was getting too much, Josh finally made his way into the kitchen.
“So Pete, this is …”
“Harper, yes we’ve met.” A sly smile on Pete’s face, as I have no idea if he plans to share how we met.
“Awesome, well I need some coffee, and then I… hey why is it empty?” Josh finally making his way to the slowly refilling coffee pot.
“I took it, seems like you should be fine with waiting a little,” my voice finally returning. “but I need to freshen up a bit now that I have some coffee with me.” And with that I grab my cup and head to the bathroom, making sure to lock the door behind me.
So how to clear your mind quickly?
