Breakfast in Millhaven Manor

Dani followed her aunt down the hall and the beautiful spiral staircase that led to the bottom floor. She was dressed in a pair of very baggy black yoga pants and a white tank top that didn't really cover her much, as it was obviously her Aunt's. The sun was trying desperately to pierce the clouds, but it was a losing battle.

She knew that she had missed her Grandmother's wake, her reason for coming her in the first place. Aunt Jess pulled a beautifully carved chair out from the table for her, and Dani sat down. Her aunt poured her a strong cup of expensive coffee, and sat down across from her. The maid, a young woman with neatly bunned blonde hair, came in with breakfast. "Thank you, Elise." Jessica said, smiling warmly at the girl.

Dani picked at her food. She didn't speak for a long time. Finally, she dropped her fork on the plate. "Tell me what happened." she said, the two women's flashing emerald eyes meeting. Her aunt sighed, and got up from the table. She grabbed a newspaper from the counter and tossed it to Dani. She unfolded it, and gasped. It was a picture of her car, and the semi truck. Dale was torn to pieces, some of him laying on the hood, some still in the seat. The headline read: Drunk Log Truck Driver in Fatal Accident: Female Victim in Stable Condition." She scanned the story. It didn't make any sense.

She remembered, vaguely, talking with him, and something else... Unconsciously, she crossed her legs. She closed her eyes and tried to remember, but it just wouldn't come. All that she could think of was the tide, and eyes in the water. She shook it off. She knew, logically, that she was just in a very, very nearly fatal accident, and her mind was just rationalizing things.

It was then that her aunt's boyfriend Martin walked into the kitchen. He was a powerfully built man in his mid 40's, going gray on the sides, but in all ways the definition of masculine good looks. He strode casually up to Jess and unashamedly kissed her and drew her close to him. Dani glanced up. His expensive charcoal suit cost more than her now destroyed vehicle. His icey blue eyes settled on hers, and with a faint nod, he said "Good morning, Danielle. I hope you slept well after last night." His voice was like fine pipe smoke floating over brandy. Dani felt herself moisten a bit. He always had that affect on her. Her aunt had chosen well.

He kissed Jess again, and strode out of the kitchen, grabbing his pre-made breakfast sandwich without looking at it from the counter. Dani glanced back at him as he left, and then at her Aunt. She was gently sawing her legs up and down as she watched him leave through the window. Her nipples stood, clearly erect. Dani blushed. She'd be pretty horny too if he had kissed her like that, she imagined. At the thought, she felt her clit pulse.

"So, what do you want to do today? I told the police it was no use questioning you." Her aunt said, breaking the silence. Dani rattled her coffee cup in suprise.

"Well, I have a few questions, myself. How did I get here?"

"Martin found you lying in by the road. He was coming back into town after dropping your Uncle Victor off after the wake, and saw the accident. He called the police, and since you were out of it and the road to the hospital was blocked by the truck anyway, they him bring you home. Your car is ruined, as you can see from the paper, but you are far luckier than he was. Martin said it was horrible."

Dani sipped her coffee. She didn't know why, but she knew everything her aunt just told her was both true and false at the same time. She leaned back in her chair, and sighed.
