Break the deal, grab her now

Obviously this was a trap. What woman would willingly let a guy into a sanctuary on a dumb grudge when she was completely vulnerable? Now that I was inside I figured I only had seconds to act before the jaws, whatever they were, snapped shut. I lunged forward and grabbed her arm, ready to claim her. Once she was mine, she would happily reveal whatever her plan was. Or so I hoped.

She had no chance, even if she might have expected this outcome. Once I had a grip, I prepared to say the words that would bind her to me forever.

In her terror, she still managed to get out a panicked shout. "Wait!"
