Chapter 7

Does Clarissa take the necklace, or ask for another recommendation?
Both
"Okay," Clarissa accepts the makeshift necklace, "But can I ask if you have anything for pesky animals?"
"Pesky how?" The herbalist frowns, "I don't sell anything that kills."
"I would never want that!" the gasped, "We just have a few neighbor cats that steal food from ours, and it's getting expensive."
"Ah, a repellent." The herbalist quickly moved to a shelf behind the counter to grab a small empty jar. Into it she carefully measured 4 different powders that Clarissa could not discern."Mix this with a generous amount of your cat's shed hair and water, then line the area that is troubling you. Is it a pet door, or does your cat eat outside?"
"A pet door, yes." Mrs. Bell also took the jar as it was handed to her, "How much do I owe you for this?"
"Three dollars even."
Mrs. Bell couldn't tell if she was drastically over or under paying for such a thing. She shook her head and paid the woman, feeling only a little foolish. She wanted to believe the success stories she'd been hearing. Before she left, she had an overwhelming urge to ask why Robert was here.
Does she ask about Robert, or leave?
