Rufus 1: So you thought it was a good idea to fuck... Literally our entire family?

Rufus 2: Look, it escalated, I admit, but I didn't fuck every last one.

Rufus 1: What's wrong with her?

Rufus 2: Don't worry about it.

Poppy 2: You know, while two Rufus' is a fantasy of mine, we're here for a reason, remember.

Rosie 1: Oh, yeah, the author's behind the scenes debrief vaguely disguised as a Q&A with the characters. Definitely not self-indulgent.

You know, I thought my own creations would be nicer to me.

Rosie 1: Okay, first question, what was with giving me a crush on my own brother?

Rosie 2: I was actually a big fan of it.

Rosie 1: Of course you were, you're from the **** timeline, but I'm not, what's with that.

Sigh. Look, I needed a point to diverge the two timelines, doing it at the start would mean no one would know the characters and so wouldn't be able to decide what path they thought suited them. That meant I had to include some flirting and crushes between family members even in the main timeline. Sorry, it was necessary.

Poppy 2: Wait, main timeline?

Don't worry about it.

Jenny 2: Okay, but why did I barely show up in the **** timeline?

A couple of reasons. First, I realised way too late that I'd literally never introduced Jenny as a character in the second path and had to retcon the shit out of a couple of chapters. Second, Jenny's backstory in LISS is implied to be pretty dark, not quite Amanda levels dark, but pretty dark. I'd feel wrong putting a character like that in a path mostly dedicated to smut. It's also why she's one of the few characters that isn't part of the orgy even after she's introduced.

Ty 2: What about me? I was in the story from the beginning, couldn't I be involved?

I went back and forth on Ty being involved, the problem is people consider an orgy with lots of women a harem, but an orgy with multiple men to be NTR. Google it. With the purpose of that path already being meant to appeal to a wider audience, I didn't want to turn people off. For what it's worth, Ty's removal from that scene encouraged me to write Poppy's chapter in timeline 1, which ended up being one of the most fun to write, so all's well that ends well.

Rufus 1: Seriously though, I have a question, why am I the only guy? Ty's around but he mainly fades into the background.

Max 1: I was here.

Andi 1: Barely, get back in the meditation room.

I don't know if this came across, but I'm really biased against male characters. It's not personal, more a matter of convenience. Aside from men being prone to the irrational NTR effect I mentioned, men can't interact sexually with each other... I mean, they can, but people complain about it. You can write a gay male story, or a story contains scenes of every other sexuality. Don't ask me why, I don't like it, I don't agree with it, I'm definitely going to try and phase the divide out sometime but I was already stretching myself with this work.

Scarlet 1: Oh... Is that why literally ever man in my story was gay or a villain?

Pretty much, hard to do much else with them. Especially when I imposed my "Lesbian sex" only rule for LISS.

Poppy 2: That reminds me, why make me straight if I was going to have a bunch of gay sex anyway?

Orientation play's pretty popular, even I get the appeal. I do think I wrote it a bit clunkily, but it served its purpose. Also, it meant that there was never any way you'd end up developing feelings outside of Rufus. You're welcome.

Elise 1: I have a question. You've written a lot of different perspectives now, who was your most favourite and least favourite to write from the perspective of?

Yeah, sure, make me choose between my children. My least favourite was probably Trish in LISS, hence why I only did it a little. She's a character that goes by instinct so much that giving her an internal monologue feels wrong. My favourite for a long time was Rouge, then when I decided to make Rufus kind of a class clown he took the top spot... Only to be pipped at the post by Poppy. Poppy's chapter might be my absolute favourite. Coming up with her thought process and how super polite she is in her mind was an absolute riot, there were moments I had to stop writing because I was laughing at what I'd written.

Rosie 1: Speaking of stopping...

Oh God...

Rosie 1: Yeah, are you going to mention this story was about half the length of LISS and still took you four years to complete?

I was hoping we wouldn't, but sure, why not? Truth is, I'm an adult. Writing's a passion of mine but it's not my only one, and I have to make a living too. So I ended up having to pick and choose what I did with my time. A lot of the chapters that released this year were written in 22/23/24 but if I released them on their own the story would still be unfinished and I'd be leading people into thinking it would be getting regular updates. I GRRM'd it. I apologise.

Echo 1: So, basically we only get our finished story because you lost your job?

... Why do you hurt me when I show you nothing but love?

Seinna 2: Speaking of hurt, don't you think a lot of this was pretty hardcore for a sex story? I mean, there's an entire backstory about political pressure in our universe.

It's just how I view stories. I don't think there's anything wrong with straight up porn stories, but I like to connect with characters. In my mind, sex scenes are to romance what fight scenes are to action. Porn stories are like those old stick fighter animations, while I try to aim for something more like the church scene in Kingsmen. I'm not saying either are right or wrong, or trying to claim superiority, I just put a lot of value on that build-up.

Marie 2: Hey, now that you've written an **** version of our story, any chance of writing that abandoned path for LISS?

I considered it, I genuinely did, but no. When I came to the end of this project I realised I want to let it rest, hence why I included such extensive epilogues this time round. I want to pursue other projects, both on CHYOA and other sites. These characters are precious to me, but sometimes you've got to push forward.

Echo 1: So, really you're just so overprotective over Scarlet and Elise's story you can't bring yourself to change it.

Why do you keep saying these incredibly true, yet extremely hurtful things?

Rufus 1: Just one more question. What's next for you? We've got out families, our lovers, our lives. Where do you go now?

To do what a writer does. To go and make more. I said when I came back that I hate leaving a project unfinished. The reason for that is because I can't bring myself to start something new without closure. So, this is my closure. I don't know what I'll do next.
