Bonnie gets the yellow ball

"Very nice, thank you," said Miss Trickett, accepting the soft yellow rubber squeezy ball from Bonnie. "You're doing terribly well, you know. Only nine more to go!"

"And then you'll let Susie go?"

"Of course!" Miss Trickett glanced at Susie, who was chasing a boy clown around and around a tall oak tree in nothing but a small pink bath towel, which kept threatening to slip off. The crowd laughed as the boy clown crept up behind her and nailed one corner of the towel to the oak tree, then stood back and started spraying her with very cold water from a hose. "That's exactly the kind of thing I would do."

"Okay. I'll be back with the next one."
