Chapter 2 by дмм дмм

Who are you, and who has the power?

Board game

You put a board game on the table in front of the members of the church club.

"Wow," Ethan says, "It looks rare, where did you buy it?"

"It was in a pawn shop for $6.66 and the employee said it was simply a sin not to buy it. I guess it's like 60 or 80 years old. I just admired the corny pun, for that price I decided to humor him."

"Let's read the rules," Isabella said. "Today has been too boring."

You open the box. The inside cover has a strange, leathery texture, and the rules are written in a beautiful red script:

To Play

Do you regret your past? This is a game of histories.

Roll a die and move the proper number of spaces. When a player enters the red field, he takes a red card. Red cards all read, "Never have I ever ____ ." For this player, this will become true. It is your new past. In that the first 12 spaces are red, all players will start with at least two red cards. Note also that these become less common in later parts of the path.

Gray cards are the most common. They are blank, but each gray card attaches to a red card and increases its points value. They assign randomly.

Yellow cards are rare cards which grant bonus effects to Red cards. Some are simple, some are not.

Purple cards **** you to exchange a red card, with upgrades, for someone else's. You must agree quickly or the result will be random.

Black cards send you back six squares. They are always six squares past a red or yellow space, so this is usually not desirable.

Scoring

  • 0 pts - Never have I ever.
  • 1 pt - I did it once.
  • 2 pts - I did it very rarely.
  • 3 pts - It was a familiar action.
  • 4 pts - I did it often.
  • 5 pts - I did it very often.
  • 6 pts - I have done it at every possible chance.
  • 7 pts - I do it constantly, at any cost.

The first person to 66 points is the winner. Try to build the best history, as this is part of your prize. When you pass the starting point, you draw a purple card in addition to (and after) your new red card.

Who's the first?
