Bluntly

Despite his massive frame, Kal did his best to remain low. He'd seen the raiding party, and he could tell something had stirred them up. Part of him considered preparing his body for a potential conflict, but he wanted to wait until he was detected. As he moved forward, he noticed a blonde woman wearing rather revealing elven armor.

Her eyes were closed. Kal got a sense she was some sort of spellcaster, but he also was certain she was trying to escape the goblin party. Moving forward, he moves to the woman. In a low voice, he says "Come with me. We can escape."

Startled, the woman raised her rod at Kal and yelped "Who are you? Where'd you come from? And why are you following me?"

Kal's face crumpled with frustration as he raised his hands. Not only had her loudness likely alerted any nearby goblins, but once again he'd been mistaken for a savage Greenskin after just trying to be nice once more. Despite this, he tries his best to remain composed, saying "Quiet. They might hear us... and I'm not a goblin."

"That still doesn't actually answer any of my questions!" Her tone was still too loud for Kal's liking.

"I'm a traveler. Those goblins will kill us if we stay."

The woman paused for a second. "And where would we go? If we leave they'll spot us! They're on..." she waves a hand in the air "...whatever-back in case you didn't notice. We can't outrun them. No, staying hidden until they pass is the best choice."

Staying hidden meant abandoning his father, and that wasn't an option for Kal. "I'm leaving. I have a wagon nearby if you actually don't want to die."

Kal turned away, eager to get as much distance between himself and the raiding party. With any luck, the stubborn bitch might slow the raiding party down. That, or she might finally see reason and follow him to the wagon. Either way, he'd made his choice, and he was content with it.
