Blocked Numbers

An interesting thought crossed your mind, and you opened Carrie’s list of blocked numbers. Carrie wasn’t one to simply block people’s numbers or social media. She was always the one to try and talk it out with anyone she had issues with, but to your surprise, it looked like there were a few numbers there.

Some of the names on the list you recognized, you had never met them, but Carrie had told you stories about them. Some on the list you weren’t sure of, the names sounded familiar but nothing came to mind. Others meant nothing to you, the names and numbers didn’t trigger any type of memory.

The first you recognized immediately from the name, it was one of her exes from her college days. She told you they had dated for several months, but she left him after he got very drunk one night and was really rough with her.

The second name you also recognized. It was a guy Carrie had met on a dating site a few months before you started dating. They talked a while and met up once, Carrie told you she had no interest in a second date, but the guy became obsessed, almost stalkerish from the moment he met your girlfriend.

The third name was a surprise, you believed it was her cousin on her fathers side. She hadn’t mentioned anything about a family member pissing her off lately, so maybe this was before you came along too.

The rest of the numbers were somewhat of a mystery to you. You looked up at Carrie who looked back at you expectantly. You could always ask her about any of the numbers and she’d most likely be happy to tell you why they made the list.
