Blending in by standing out

Although you saw no real harm in simply maintaining your appearance, some part of you latched on to the idea of a different face for a different world.

Since you were technically now a member of an anime, just about any hair color and/or style would be appropriate so you began shifting first your hair color before settling on an almost glowing white, fitting since you recalled an article some weeaboo (pot & kettle much) had posted about what different hair color represented for characters in anime. You remembered that white typically meant the person was mysterious, how fitting for someone who appeared from another dimension altogether with the ability to literally bend reality on a whim.

Next you considered the style of hair before a small voice whispered in your ear, 'You're primping and preening so much over your hair, you sure you're a boy?'

Deciding to take the unspoken advice, you dropped the issue and focused on a different, but possibly even more important question... if you were going to be attending Youkai Academy, a high school for monsters, what kind of monster would you want to be?

Sure you could stick it out as a human, but where was the real fun in that. Albeit you could simply imitate any powers you pleased, and no one would really be the wiser.

But once again, a part of you spoke up mentally debating the merits of changing into one of the monster attending the school, you could still have plenty of power, and should things turn pear-shaped, you could always fall back on your new powers, but you wanted to prove the ability to influence the world around you with your own two hands, so to speak.

So with that in mind, you began to mentally debate different kinds of monsters.

There was the obvious choice, a Vampire like Moka and her family, sipping on blood where available and tomato juice where not, weakened by unblessed water and rosaries. However the sheer power that a Vampire could use even with one finger brought a primal smile to your face.

Keeping to the theme of powerful and obvious choices, there was also the Werewolf, like Gin, faster than the Vampire, at a trade-off of power, not to mention all the extra senses that came from being part wolf. Not to mention something just felt right about it, being an Alpha with plenty of mates around him.

There was also the respective races of the other girls of Tsukune's unwitting harem such as a Succubus like Kurumu or a Yuki-Onna like Mizore, although both were female-only races as far as you could remember so it wold take a bit more creativity on your part.

However, there was still being a Witch? Warlock? Wizard? like Yukari and Ruby which would even allow you to retain some semblance of humanity, and the easy guise of magic should you ever feel the need to really let loose with your powers.

Not to mention the literal an entire world full of monster you could choose from. From the Zombie to the Phoenix to Lamia, Centaur, Mummy, Cyclops, Oni, Kappa, Kraken, or even a tiny Goblin, the possibilities were endless...
