Chapter 22 by Forcas Forcas

The conversation...

Blake asks about the Bucks

Blake strode confidently up to the bed. In his duties as a Prefect, he was in his element. On arrival he greeted Lexi and introduced himself to Daria, the Doe blushing as he addressed her. With the formalities out the way he got down to business.

'So Daria, I assume Lexi told you why I want to speak with you?' Daria nodded affirmation, unbeknownst to the Stallion she was severely tongue-tied at present. 'Now if you don't want to talk about it that’s fine too. I want you to understand you have choice here,' He approached the Doe kindly, aware not only of her tendency to be embarrassed by such things, not to mention the recent revelations she had received.

From Daria's perspective this only made it worse however. She would gave preferred a matter of fact approach to the whole situation, sensitivity would just highlight her insecurity in these situations. She had improved over her first week at F&R, but she still hadn't shirked the prudish nature she'd held for so long.

On hearing no objections from her, Blake asked the Doe to recount the whole situation. Daria mumbled a bit before finally finding her voice and beginning her speech.

Blake was disappointed to hear of the Bucks teasing, as well as their threats. F&R worked because of the mutual respect between the students, the way the Bucks has acted undermined this. It wasn't the first time, but he had hoped they would learn. All was not lost however, as it did appear only Red was actively doing anything so far. The other two were complicit, but this was still a step up from previous years when all three had been more involved. At the mention of the first spank, Blake's brow furrowed and he wrote it down on his notepad. Looks like it was going to get some use after all. The Bucks it seemed had broken the rules here, actually hurting a student was never acceptable.

He also took note that Daria appeared to try to take some responsibility for the puncture wound she received, but Blake held up a hand to silence her. 'Daria, I appreciate what your doing here but you don't need to defend the Bucks on this. If they got you into a state where you acted like that, then their responsible if you get hurt.' Daria appeared to take this well going, thanking him before going on to finish her account. Blake's hopes had somewhat fallen as it appeared Green had gotten his hands dirty after all, but Yellow hadn't done anything, so that was a plus. Blake did have something of a soft spot for him. The youngest of the three he was far more tolerable than the other two.

Once the interview was over Blake noticeably relaxed. He wasn't anxious, it was more that he had completed his role as a Prefect with all its formality, and could return to being a regular student or, at least, as regular as an equine Poster could be.

He sat back in his seat wondering whether he should stay, when Lexi jumped in. She had been listening intently to Daria's story, her expression darkening as time went on. It was perhaps unsurprising, with bitterness, 'I tell ya what, I'm gonna have a word with that Red when I see him!' She seemed worked up again.

Daria it seemed, did not wish to be subjected to her sisters rant so attempted to diffuse her, 'Lexi! It's in the past now just let it go. I don't really want to talk about it can we just change the subject?'

The two girls talking has given time to Blake to re-enter the conversation, if only to inquire as to whether the two wanted some privacy. 'Should I go?' His question had been addressed to neither of them specifically, but it was Lexi who answered.

'Whadya mean should you go? You haven't even asked her yet.' Blake looked at her, confused to what she she was referring, 'Y'know the whole Biology thing?' Comprehension dawned on him as he realised what she meant, but his doubts from the day before had not been dispelled.

'Look Lexi, I'm sure she's great at Biology and all but-'

Lexi interjected yet again, ''But' nothin', just ask her and she'll help you…' In fact, Blake didn't have to ask her. Lexi took the initiative and went ahead regardless, 'Sis, Blake's doing Post Biology, but was struggling with it, your super smart so you could help him out, right?'

Blake face-palmed, he mumbled under his breath through gritted teeth, 'Lexi! I'm fine by myself! Seriously. Drop it.' Lexi face fell, she opened her mouth to protest but this time it was Blake's turn to cut her off, 'Ok look,' he was angry now, working himself up. While he wasn't shouting his voice was razor sharp, 'I'm going to go.' He turned to Daria, 'Thanks for your help, hopefully the DO won't need to speak to you, so don't worry about that.' Blake stood up, and left, pointedly ignoring Lexi, a heat haze of rage surrounding him.

As he walked out he could feel his blood rushing, all the frustration he felt from his troubles, was amplified and he had to resist the urge to snap the pen he was holding. 'Hmmmpf' he snorted, his nostrils flaring. He was glad he was out of site of the others, it was unbecoming to lose ones temper. He decided to head to the fitness suite, he could blow off some steam there, after that… Well, he owed the Bucks a visit.

Who do we follow next?
