Rachel Roth, AKA Raven, one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful teen titan, the daughter of a powerful extra-dimensional demon called Trigon, who planned to use her as a tool to invade and conquer Earth, but with the help of her team, she was capable of fighting back against him and sending him back packing to his dark dimension.

Before and after that, she's helped save the world multiple times, which probably is why the digital world chose her to be a tamer. After she went to sleep in her room in the Titans Tower last night, she woke up in some sort of gloomy forest the next morning; the plants were dry and devoid of leaves, and their wood had an unhealthy-looking grey tone and they were contorted in strange, swirly positions, the dirt was a very dark black, and the skies were purple with 3 full moons shining in the sky, with stars set in ways totally different than on Earth.

It was obvious that Raven was on another world, maybe another dimension altogether. She didn't know if this was her father's doing or some other enemy, or maybe her own powers sending her here after she accidentally used them in her sleep, maybe as her feelings got compromised for a nightmare and that caused her to end up here.

She tried to concentrate to summon a portal back to Earth, but for some reason it wasn't working. While she was trying and failing to summon a way back home, a small creature snuck behind her and tugged at her cloak to get her attention.

Raven got alarmed and turned around quickly, focusing her power, causing her to float as her eyes and hands glowed, ready for combat. The one behind her was a cute, small black cat that got spooked by her sudden aggressive reaction.

"Ahh, Don't hurt me; I'm a friend, I swear," she said, falling on her butt and covering her face with her glove paws in case Raven attacks her.

Raven is not the most trusting person, but she's also an empath who can detect the feelings of others, and she couldn't detect any malicious intent from the cat creature; she seemed sincere and kind-hearted, so she decided she wasn't a threat for now at least. She returned back down to the ground and stopped focusing her magic to focus an attack.

"Very well, I believe you. Sorry for scaring you; I was just abducted into this unknown place, so I'm defensive at the moment" Raven explained.

The cat let out a sigh of relief as she got back up. "I'm very sorry, Miss. Getting forced out of your home like that must have been awful. I'll be happy to help you however I can; I'm your new partner after all" She responded now getting cheerful.

"Partner? I just met you; how can you be so sure you'll be partners for me? I'm not looking for a familiar," Raven responded, not liking the idea of this little thing tagging along with her, she may be annoying.

"Because it's our destiny, I can feel it. Just check yourself; you have my Digivice." She pointed at the top of her cloak, and then Raven noticed something was lying on her head. She removed her cloak and took the tiny machine that just appeared on her; it was a small machine of the same dark blue color as her outfit.

"This is yours? How does it show we're meant to team up?" Raven asked, confused; it reminded her of the Titan's communicator, just more square.

"Ok I see you don't seem to know anything about here do you?... very well, let me explain as well as I can. I'm a Digimon, it's short for Digital Monster, my name and species is Blackgatomon, we're monsters made of data that go through several evolution states, and while we can evolve by ourselves is easier if we partner up with a tamer that help us by training us, some digimon prefer to be by themselves, and others look tamers by themselves but some like me get chosen to partner up by the digital world itself to partner up with highly capable people that could help us develop to our fullest potential, when this happen it usually also mean the digital world is in trouble and it needs heroe to help defend it, that object you have is a digivice it represent our bond and it should aid you in helping be digievolve and get stronger" Blackgatomon explained as well as she could while Raven listened carefully.

What she explained to her sounded crazy but in all fairness she had seen way more crazy things during her career as a superheroine and again she could feel Blackgatomon's was being sincere so she didn't saw why not trusting her "I see, well I'm already in the saving the world business back home so I guess it make some sense it chose me, very well Blackgatomon, you can call me Raven, and I accept to help you in your mission, but I request you'll also help me in finding a way back home" She responded in a monotone voice.

Blackgatomon felt highly excited at Raven's acceptance and she jumpt at her to hug her, grabbing her torso with her arms and legs while she rub her head affectionably against Raven's boobs while purring like the kitty she was, others would find this adorable and pleasent, if Raven wasn't obligated to contain her emotions to keep her powers under control, she may had felt like that but since she did had to she just sighed and ask her to "quit it" a request which Blackgatomon respected and followed.

"he he, sorry I guess you're not a hugger, I just got super excited at having a new friend" Blackgatomon apologized, Raven actually wasn't just a new friend to her she was the first, most other digimon hated, fear and/or mistrusted virus digimon like her.

"Is not much of a problem, just keep in mind I prefer to have some space" Raven explained.
