Blackbridge: The Worst City in America

Please log in to view the image

Blackbridge is the worst city in America, the one with the highest ****, ****, and crime rates. It makes the roughest corners of Detroit and St. Louis seem quaint by comparison. Outsiders whisper the name with the same unease they reserve for war zones.

The mafia runs this town, but not the old school kind with black suits and baseball bats. These families own skyscrapers and police precincts. They own the mayor, the courts, and the streets. They control the ****, the whores, and the junkies. Superhumans are on their payroll, freaks born from chemical fires, lab accidents, or something darker. Their job is simple: keep the money flowing.

The cops don't protect. They collect protection payments, favors, and silence. Politicians pretend to care about cleaning up the city, but their bank accounts tell a different story.

Blackbridge is a city without hope.

Yet even in a place like this, heroes exist. They don't wear bright costumes or strike poses for cameras. They bleed in alleys and stitch themselves back together with shaking hands. They make choices that stain their souls. They are darker, grittier, and far more morally gray than the clean cut superheroes of brighter, more colorful cities.

Still, they are heroes.

And then there are the vigilantes. They don't care about capes or ethics. They don't care about mercy. Vigilantes differ from superheroes because they are willing to kill and ready to bend the rules until they snap. They take the fight to monsters with a brutality most heroes don't possess.

This is the story of Blackbridge: a city full of monsters, villains, criminals, and the ones who hunt them. A city where justice isn’t blind. Justice is wounded, angry, and tired of waiting.
