"Making friends, Moira?" came a bemused voice. The young Brit jumped, then turned around to see Lionel Goldsteen standing behind her, a bemused grin on his face.

"Oh, Mr. Goldsteen, you startled me, sir," she replied, slightly flustered. Then, patting her hair down reflexively, she regained her crisp diction. "Just ensuring all of our talent feels warmly welcomed."

"How wonderful to hear you say that, Miss Taggert," Lionel observed, putting an arm around the young woman and leading her to his office. "We need you to bring that level of engagement to a mission we have for you in Calhoun. Have you ever heard of Morris Bossongo?"

"Never," Moira admitted. "Should I have?"

"He moves in powerful political and business circles in Africa, and is one of the richest men on the dark continent," the senior executive replied as they glanced out the window at the view. "He and his top people will be in Calhoun for the festival. It's his first visit to America, and rumor has it he's planning to invest heavily in our business. We need him to choose our organization. We need him to feel... warmly welcomed. Think you can handle it?"

Moira glanced at him, her nervous eyes undermining an enthusiastic nod and firm smile. Lionel smiled back; he thought the notorious African pervert would enjoy her perfect mixture of bravado and insecurity.

"Try to meet his team, introduce them to any of our talent that they're interested in," Lionel instructed. "And if you can make the connection for us, we'll have you out of the cubicle and into an office like this."
