Bitter and Jealous Vanessa, in Lauren's world!

While Lauren's life had taken off like a rocket ship since virtual reality had entered the picture, her sister Vanessa had found herself endlessly frustrated on a downward path. She had dismissed VR as 'nerd stuff', and was late to get involved. By the time she did, the world was already far ahead of her. Everyone else had more social points, more credits, better avatars and items. Vanessa was shocked when her sister's server exploded in popularity, and became a national success. At first she'd refused to use it out of protest, but eventually caved when it became obvious that the whole town (and much of the nation) exclusively used it.

The rivalry between them became **** bitterness for Vanessa. her younger sibling syndrome went out of control as her sister continued to be the center of attention. Vanessa was left behind in the dust. To top it all off, her avatar was the worst! It was a model that went beyond plain. Where in real life Vanessa, the buxom curvy athlete was undeniably attractive, her model was a short, chubby woman with no curves. It had Vanessa's face, as almost all did, but that just humiliated her further. Why could she never afford a better avatar? Why was her social points always scrapping the bottom?

(This was largely due to Lauren's meddling, unbeknownst to Vanessa. Lauren had built in secret backdoor, manipulating other's status, avatars and credits. Lauren delighted in altering her sister's model to be short, chubby and have just about the most minuscule breasts possible!)

To top it all off, Vanessa had earned so few credits in game that her character only had the worst clothing options. For the last six months her avatar had literally had jelly sandals, daisy dukes that showed off wide stubby thighs, and a tank top that stopped six inches over her belly button, showing off that muffin top (once again, all Lauren's doing). Despite it not being her real body, Vanessa found herself blushing and cringing in real life as she controlled her character. People would snicker at her in their finer clothes, with their attractive avatars, making Vanessa feel envious humiliation for the first time in her life.
