"God, are you still up playing that game? Babe, its nearly one-thirty in the middle of the goddamn night!"

"I'm sorry, honey, these games are so addictive. You complete a level and you think 'that wasn't so bad', and then the next one starts. I'm sorry, just give me a few minutes."

"C'mon, babe, I got work in the morning."

"Just keep your eyes shut and face away from me. If I complete two more levels, I unlock the next section, and that's a good place to stop."

"God, you know how hard it is for me to get to sleep, ~grumble.~"

THE NEXT NIGHT

"Okay, I need you to take my feelings into consideration. When you stay up late, I have a harder time getting to sleep, and that makes my day much harder."

"I hear you. Thank you for using 'I' statements like Dr. Larson taught us. I feel like at the end of my day, I need some time to myself to relax, and this game lets me do that."

"I hear you. I have a compromise. A buddy of mine at work had the same problem with his wife, and they found this game. It has a goodnight mode. You turn it on, and it'll lull you to sleep."

"That sounds a little weird."

"Will you try it? I'll send you a link."

"Okay... BTI, I've never heard of them."

"There's like four million fly-by-night mobile game developers. I'm not surprised."

"The background's like, bikini babes."

"Okay, I didn't know that. But Seth's wife really liked the game. Will you try it? We really need to get better with our sleep hygiene. The gameplay is still the whole stacking water puzzle stuff."

TWO NIGHTS LATER

"Whoa, what--"

"Hey, baby!"

"Jeanie, is that... you? The fuck happened?"

"Oh, I got a high score in that game, so BTI gave me a free tour of their headquarters. They ended up sticking a tube in my butt and made me all fuckable!"

"What?"

"I know you want to go bed early. I have an idea on how to make sure you're nice and tired!"
