Bill is, of course, not Bill

"Adam, babe, are you seriously asking me what I'm talking about?" Bill asked, looking a little puzzled.

Adam was sat there with a blank expression, his mind a little confused and muddled, not just from the ****, but also from the intensity of his orgasm.

"It's me, Helen," 'Bill' laughed, "did you forget why you went to the pub?"

"Helen?!" Adam exclaimed, his eyes wide. "The spellbook..."

"Are you actually just figuring that out now?" 'Bill' or rather Helen asked, raising her eyebrows. "Wait, so you had no clue I was using magic?"

"No," Adam replied, his brain catching up with events. He looked over at Beth who was busy getting dressed, a smirk on her face. "But what about her?" he said trying to be discreet, gesturing towards Beth. "How did you make her behave that way?"

"Let's just say one of my new spells can make people more compliant," Helen smirked, looking at Beth. "Isn't that right, sweetheart?"

Beth nodded, still grinning inanely. "Whatever you say, babe."

Things were finally started to click in Adam's head. It all made sense now, well, not completely, but the fact that Helen's magic could change people's behaviour was pretty clear.

"Wait," Helen said, her brows furrowing. "If you didn't know I was using magic, you were just happy to go along to your work mate's house and fuck his wife?

Adam sat there in silence. That was the question he was dreading, and he couldn't really answer.

"You were happy to cheat on me, just like that?" Helen continued, a look of incredulity on her face. "And don't say it's because you're drunk. That's not a fucking excuse."

"I-I-I don't know," Adam stammered, his voice shaky. "I was drunk, and Bill was offering, and I thought it was some sort of prank. I didn't think it would actually happen."

"Unbelievable," Helen scoffed, shaking her head. If Adam was able to look at her expression properly, he would have noticed the hint of amusement.

"But... you basically set me up," Adam protested, his tone slightly indignant.

"Because I thought you'd clicked that I was Bill," Helen retorted. "Do your colleagues normally offer their wives to you when they're drunk? Or was that a first for you?"

Adam had no answer for that. It was a fair point.

"Okay, okay," Adam said, holding his hands up. "I guess I wasn't thinking straight, but can we just put it behind us?"

"Maybe," Helen replied, folding her arms across her chest. "But you'll have to make it up to me."

"Of course," Adam nodded, a little relieved. "Whatever you want."

"Well, I do have an idea..." Helen said, a smirk forming on her lips.
