Dramatic music plays as Julie Chen Moonves, the show's host, speaks to the camera from inside the house.

"It's time once again for the hottest competition of the summer to start! Over the next 100 days, 16 new houseguests will be cut off from the outside world as they take up residence here in the Big Brother house. During their stay, a shitton of cameras and a fuckload of microphones will capture their every move. Each week, the houseguests will compete to win power in the game and become the Head of Household. The Head of Household is not only safe for the week but they also win special privileges including their own private bedroom. Each week, the Head of Household must also nominate two of their fellow houseguests for eviction and, by the end of the week, one of the nominated houseguests will be voted out of the house. The last houseguest standing will win the grand prize of $750,000. It's a summer-long power struggle that will all play out live. Welcome to Big Brother!"

Julie exits through the house's front door as the live audience erupts into applause. The camera pans away and the show's title sequence plays. When it is over, we cut back to Julie standing in front of the audience.

"Good evening! I'm Julie Chen Moonves and welcome to Big Brother. It's our live premiere and we have 16 brand new houseguests ready to enter the house and begin their battle for the $750,000 prize. It'll be a summer full of twists and turns, most of which will inevitably screw over your favorite player, so the houseguests will have to expect the unexpected in order to come out on top. But who are these new houseguests? Well, you're about to find out. Let's meet some of this year's houseguests."
