Better get moving...

Stepping around the girls on the floor, you quickly pull your shirt and overalls on. You slip out the door, setting it to lock behind you, lest some messenger or supervisor walk in on them. Looking at your watch at last as you speedwalk down the hall, you see that you're about a half hour overdue back from lunch. Oh, well... how tight a ship can the janitorial staff be, really?

"Oh, hey! Are you the new janitor?" you hear as you pass the reception desk.

"Uh, I guess I... Yes, I am!" you babble out as you approach the circular workstation, which had looked unoccupied. A petite, pony-tailed blonde wearing glasses and a phone headset pops up suddenly.

"Well, I'm Tami. Definitely!" she chuckles in a cute voice, huskier than you'd expect from someone shy of 5' tall. "And Scruffy was just here. He seems kind of pissed that he can't find you," she advises.

"Well, I got busy..." you scramble for an explanation, looking up and down the hall, "I couldn't find..."

Tami draws a deep breath as you step up to the desk, than sighs and turns back to her phone, its numerous buttons flashing with incoming calls, but keeps looking at you out the corner of her eye. "Well, if you want, I can tell him you got called down to HR to clear up some paperwork..." She smiles an elfin smile, "but then you'll owe me..."
