On entering to university Beth underwent a significant transformation, her style and attitude changed drastically, since she was no longer near Vanessa she stopped comparing herself to Vanessa and thus stopped feeling less pretty than her, her self confidence skyrocketed and soon she had a bunch of new friends.

but that wasn't the only change, as a matter of fact it wasn't the biggest one, she started to adopt a Gothic style, a style that seemed to suit her really well, she was tall, had pale skin, dark hair, black clothes and a somewhat gothic look, she also started to get more interest into black magic and the occult, she said to her friends it was just an aesthetic and a fun thing but she had a secret interest into it.

She had studied several hexes and curses but only she was not a professional at all besides she had never seen a single one of them work before but she still knew them.

When she stopped being at Vanessa's shadow her relationship with her and Riley became more genuine she had went before to Vanessa's and Riley's dorm to put forgetfulness hexes under Vanessa's bed as a prank but she haven't seen any difference on Vanessa, she also had a pair voodoo dolls made with Riley's and Vanessa's hair, a very silly thing, she had almost forgotten she had it but when she was ordering her dorm she noticed it.

"what a silly thing" she said as she caught the Riley's doll and started to make it twerk.
