After thinking this idea trough, you decide that doing so would be a risk that could end your plan before it even starts. The amount of said risks are also so huge that it boggles your mind. The chance that this is bait for either a trap for looters or for people to convert themselves, this shows that these infected are clever. The land that has been converted to fur, hopefully, will not react to your presence at all. If it does you know that you are screwed, literally, by the ones patrolling or by the ground itself.

After this store you have a few more blocks to go through before you even reached the outskirts of the hive. This hive, which you know was half this size only yesterday, shows that this infection might become bigger than just this town. The fact that less then a mile away from this hive there is another which is expanding towards this one. If these two connect, you know that this will cause chain hives around the whole town. This would decimate the town and most of the population.

The military would not be able to hold against that amount of infected alone. The only saving grave is that they will keep some people. These people would remain un-infected, but only to remain as food after most of the people were caught. This is only a theory though because of the huge amount of people who were marched in but only about a fourth would leave.

These thoughts are running through your head as you start to sneak into the outer edges of the hive. This was to find that the entire perimeter was empty and quiet, which threw you for a loop. This was except for one that was moving slowly, as if it was changing or dying. This infected was easy to avoid and when you reached the first of the cages you find that it was almost overcrowded. Everyone was either restrained in some way or was sitting and being docile.
