Being scolded

"You just couldn't keep it in your pants, couldn't you?" asked a fairly angry looking Sonia, "I.." I started only to be cut with "I'll get to you in a moment, don't worry" the Captain's gaze focused on Lydia, we were still near the park, squad cars and an ambulance stood nearby, the wounded of the brawl that happened an hour prior were treated and taken into custody afterwards. The Captain was dressed informally, still undoubtedly stunning woman, but in an unlikely apparel. "You just had to go for a stroll in the park to get into a romantic mood, so you can take him to your apartment and fuck his brains silly, right?" Sonia continued to gaze at Lydia, the latter looking much timid than her normal self. "And how many times did I specifically ordered to be armed even when off duty?" she continued, "But, we went for drinks, I didn't want to mix **** and guns" Lydia defended herself. "I've told you, the reason you're in the SCU is that I trust your judgement, sober or not. Should anything happen it will be my ass and not yours" The Captain replied.

"Now, as for you" The Captain turned to me, "On one hand I applaud your efforts, even if your methods are a bit more brutal than what I would like. Know that if any charges will be brought against you, we will take care of you. It would be a shame to lose a good cop." she said, a stern look on her face. "On the other hand, I'm impressed you managed to stand your ground against two of these Bat girls, especially remaining with no broken or missing limbs, a shame they escaped, but it shouldn't worry us now." She finished.

"Do we know anything about the deal the gangs had? Or even who the gangs are?" Lydia asked, to which the Sonia replied "So far we don't really have much, it's clear the gangs belong to the Penguin and the other one to Felony, nothing official sadly, so we won't be able to pin this on either of them.". "I overheard they had some kind of a weapons deals somewhere else that went awry due to interference by Batman, this lead to what happened here." I added, prompting a smile to Sonia's face. "So the pretty boy has brains too, great, did you hear anything else?" she asked. "Nothing much else, only that the gangs were held in the dark to about an hour before the deal, meaning they're really trying to keep it a secret. We can maybe tell more from the last calls on the suspects' phones" I added, Sonia shook her head, "No, they didn't have any phones, they had only radio, which in the best case tells us the other deal was in an 8 km radius, and in the worst case if they had any repeater stations in between, pretty much anywhere else."

"Fine, go fuck off" she dismissed us, "Just remember, if you're fucking, don't let it affect your work or you'll have me so far up your ass you wouldn't be walking for days afterwards.". Lydia smiled and gave me a quick smirk, I bid the Captain farewell, and stayed with Lydia as the Captain left to speak with Sergeant Montoya who was speaking with the uniform policeman who was first on scene after us.

"So, about that romantic mood, is it ruined? Or is there a way to save it somehow?" Lydia asked, I absentmindedly chuckled as my phone vibrated and received the text 'Your apartment in one hour' from Stephanie. This will be interesting I thought to myself.
