Befriend

With a quick thought, you raised your arms up, and started hopping on Starry. The merfolk took the hint, and picked you up. Now you were in her palm, starring at her. You decided to come clean about your power, and you were trying to avoid being crushed.

She paused for a moment, before smiling. “You can possess anyone, right?” You nodded. “Sweet. Me and my friends would love you. My name’s Meram, by the way!” She blows a bubble around you, and held you there. She came back to the entrance where she first saw you, and headed to a room with a water tunnel. She put you under her arm, like a ball, and swam through it, where you could see nothing but blue water, with the occasional fish.

A little while later, the Merfolk came across a shipwreck. As she swam closer, you saw three other merfolk.

One was Pink with white stripes, and had no lure. Her eyes were bluish-green and despite being stacked, she was wearing no top. You tried your best not to stare. She was also wearing a ship’s flag like a skirt. She was slightly shorter than Meram, but much thicker. “That’s Corra. If she flirts with you, she doesn’t mean it. She also doesn’t mind the staring.”

Another was black with white eyes. They seemed to wear a purple robe, obscuring most of their body. This merfolk was the shortest of the four you’ve seen. “That’s Inkai They’re… uh, interesting. They also do a lot of pranks.”

The last one was asleep, laying on a plank of wood. She was white with black speckles. She was wearing a pirate’s coat and eye patch, but not much else. Despite that, the outfit covered up most of her body. She was probably only taller than Inkai. “That’s Gerria. Don’t wake her, or you’ll find her madder than usual.” Meram whispered. “Although she will protect you if you get in danger.”
