Before the door opens

Louise and Kerry come running over one has a box of simple tools the other a massive crowbar like tool. "Major we could only find this stuff unless you want me to go and get the C4". Giving the two of them a look that screams hell no, the Major shakes her head so they just hand out the tools, you take the crowbar thing and get told it is a multi purpose fireman's tool and start attacking the hinges to try and pop the door off its hinges, as it is clear even if the door was not locked it has been buckled in the frame due to the pounding from the freaks.

After a few minutes you have popped the top hinge and the others have gotten the bottom one out, jamming pry bars into a couple good spot you and the ladies get the door open enough you can get a hold of it and just rip it out of the way, as you put the door down you hear what sounds like a rifle been cocked and turn to the ladies wondering who is a little gung ho and notice nobody has a gun to hand let alone a rifle.

Louise goes to poke her head in the door so you grab her and pull her back and point to the door making the hand motion for danger Gabby taught you, all the ladies draw weapons now, aimed at the door. Holding up your hand again you take your shirt off and tie it to the halogen tool and wave it in front of the door and shout the only thing that comes to mind, " friendly please do not shoot ".

Inside the room the women see a blue shirt been waved at them and a deep male voice shouting friendly, not sure what is going on Sgt Jules shouts ranger and the Major shouts back dam, all the women from the military slump in relieve but the CDC women still look unsure.

"Its ok the rescue team made it come on ladies lets get out of this place" and Sgt Jules leads them up into the light. Seeing the woman file out everyone is very very happy, "Sgt it is good to see you how in the hell did you get down there may I ask, we have been looking for you all day".

The women blink as they enter the bright light of the arena to see the mess and the bodies under the blankets, looking around the first to ask what is going on is a Private Henderson, "Where is the rescue team, what is going on mam", now everyone has noticed the lack of people only a few could be called military personnel and that is a stretch. But what has a number of the women wondering is the man putting the blue shirt back on and is ripped beyond anything they have seen outside of an infected male.

The Major and the sheriff both had come up with a speech for the people if you found any but this is better then they hoped. " I have some bad news, as of 2 days ago the government has given up on any people in a hot zone and sealed all other areas for at least 5 years till the virus burn its self out, no more help will be coming this is the worst case scenario ladies ".

The CDC group knew this was a possibility after the toll reached over 100 million last month, but it still hits them all badly.
