Bedtime.

"Well," says Doe, "Let's head to our room."

You both get up and walk to your room. The bed is covered by a thin sheet, no quilt or anything heavy. You slip into bed and wait. She hesitates and then turns out the lights. You can't see her as she strips, but dimly see her silhouette walk around the bed and get in on the other side. The bed creaks softly as she slides in, but it is so big that she doesn't even come close to touching you. Neither of you say anything.

Finally, she speaks up. "I'm really happy I'm the Head Girl."

"Yeah," you answer, "I've never won any lottery-type thing in my life. I'm usually really unlucky."

"Ha!" she laughs, "Well, now you are really really lucky John! Alone in a hallway with five hot girls, and you're sleeping next to a naked girl!"

"How did you manage to forget to pack your pajamas anyway?"

"Err... Well can I tell you the truth? I actually didn't. I just didn't expect to have a boy sleeping next to me. I usually sleep naked at night here anyway, it gets really hot. A lot of girls here sleep naked."

After she says this, you realize that she's right. Inside the sheets, you are getting hotter and hotter.

You speak up. "You know, you're right. This is really hot. I think I'm going to sleep on top of the covers."

She answers, "That never helps. We've all tried it. The only way we've gotten it to cool down is by sleeping naked. It isn't the covers that are hot, it's the room. Well, the sheets help too, but only a little bit."

"Well, I guess it's only fair. You're naked, so I guess I can be too. You have seen a guy naked before, right?"

"Not really. This school used to be so sheltered... I've never even made out with a boy before."
