Becoming a fantasy creature

It shouldn't have been a surprise that when Sarah told Tom that she had an idea she was interested in exploring, he entered their study to find her perusing her bookshelf.

While they both loved reading, Sarah was the much bigger fantasy fan of the two. She loved almost all the little subgenres, but Tolkien-esque high fantasy was her absolute favorite. She slapped a row of books as he entered, and told him flat-out, "I want to become a fantasy creature!"

"Of course," he said with a laugh. "Okay then, do you mean like...an elf or hobbit or something? Or more monstrous, like a manticore?"

With a knowing grin on her lips, Sarah strode over, crossing the distance between them to poke a finger into the center of Tom's chest. "That's up to you~" She did have some previsions, though. "The change should only last until the weekend, and don't make me anything so big that I'll destroy the house."

Thanks to Sarah, he actually had read a lot of those novels, even if they weren't exactly his favorite kind of thing. So he did know a lot of options when it came to what she would turn into. The only question was...what kind of fun was this going to be?
