Become one with the Flame

You stood still eyes closed as a colossal fire ravaged the area around you drawing closer and closer to you. In front of you stood Leanan Ó Gealbháin the first arch-wizard of the wizarding world smiled as he watched you. After unlocking some more secrets of time it was decided you would train your elemental affinities to enhance your magical arsenal, after accidentally discovering time dilation your had discovered you could train for yours years here in the void and only a minute could pass in the real world which would serve you greatly as the train trip wouldn’t last forever.

Leanan raised his staff shooting forth a burst of a flames closer to where you stood before lowering his staff and speaking. “An ancient test of old to understand the true nature of fire you must first understand that the essence of fire is life it burns and spreads you can only guide for now but only a true master of the flame can command it. Do not move for the fire will burn you but if you are deemed worthy the guardian of fire will mark you.”

You remained still as the fire inched closer and closer to. The heat was becoming a unbearable as you sweated profusely but didn’t move nor budge. Soon the flames encircled you before the fire began to spin and spin faster and faster but you did not move. Before long the circle of fire began dancing in the air around you burning different shades of orange, red, yellow, blue and white before the fire began to take shape. Soon the fire took form to reveal a dragon. Standing ten times as tall as you or Leanan the dragon stared you down circling you like a shark circles its prey searching for blood or fear.

You remained still however remembering that your family, your beloved girlfriend their lives were at stake if you wanted to protect them you had to master your elemental affinities and while these were no substitute for the training that would come they would assist you in the trials that laid ahead of you. The dragon stopped eyeing you directly in the face softly growling bearing its teeth only inches from your face its eyes staring into your eyes.

You remained stoic staring right back into those eyes with all the bravery and courage you could muster. The dragon tilted its head to the side before rearing back and seemingly flying away before circling around flying straight towards you. However you didn’t move despite Leanan yelling at you get out of the way. You opened your arms as if embracing your own girlfriend and then you opened your eyes.

The dragon was gone and in its place was a single red diamond on the palm of your right hand. Leanan only smiled at you before placing a hand on your shoulder. “My boy in the numerous times I administered the test never once has guardian of fire chosen a wizard in the manner it chose you. While you will still need to learn and practice the element of fire you will at least have the guardian of fire’s blessing it doesn’t you should start learning top tier spells but the journey will be easier. Leanan finished smiling.
