When Becky returned from her venture, she entered the house with the things she had bought. Emily was dressed and sitting on the couch. She blushed as Becky entered the room. “You went shopping?” Emily said as she helped take some of the bags Becky was carrying.
“Set them down on the table,” Becky said. “I needed some things I forgot to bring yesterday. While I was at the store, I got you some things too.”
Emily’s face paled. “Y-you did?”
Becky nodded. “Now, Emily. I don’t want you to feel ashamed or insecure or anything else. But I want to make sure that what happened last night doesn’t happen again,” Becky said. “If this becomes a regular thing, I want to be prepared.”
“Prepared?” Emily said as Becky reached into the bag and began pulling something out.
