Becky checks on Tegan first

Tegan moans softly as she wakes up in the hospital.

"where..?"

"you're in the hospital."

Tegan glances over to see Becky sitting at her bedside.

"what happened? my mind is a little fuzzy..." Tegan asks.

"Kay Lee Ray hurt ye ta get ta me." Becky said quietly.

"oh god." Tegan said as the memory of falling, the pain of crashing through tables came back to her.

"I'm so sorry." Becky said softly, wringing her hands.

Tegan tested her body and saw she could feel and move everything.

"what did the doctors say?"

Becky licked her lips.

"they said ye'll be fine ye just need time ta heal."

Tegan sighed in frustration.

"time to heal. seems like that's ALL I ever do anymore.

ever since that knee injury, everyone targets it and I just stay on the shelf."

Becky sighed.

"I understand, Tegan; and I appreciate what ye tried ta do. but ye musta' been crazy ta think this coulda' went any different."

Tegan stared at the shapes of her feet under the covers and blew out a hard sigh.

"I just couldn't bear to see you drinking yourself under the table anymore.

not over HER. I wanted to show that bitch she can't hurt my friends and get away with it."

Becky gently held Tegan's hand and squeezed.

"thank ye. I know what I have ta do now. for YOU, Tegan.

Tegan smiled.

"thanks Becky."

Becky gently kissed her on the head.

"and Tegan?" Becky said gently.

"yeah?" Tegan said, slightly puzzled.

"TRUST me."
