Becky and Kay Lee become closer

Kay lee ray is driving while Becky rests in the passenger seat.

Becky watches the city lights as they slowly roll past unable to think of anything but her own troubles.

"really Becky I swear I KNEW NOTHIN' about any o' this." Kay lee said to break the silence.

Becky glanced at her then turned her gaze out the window.

"I know, Kay Lee, I'm sorry I snapped at ye."

Kay Lee licked her lips and smiled.

"we need to stick together Becky, We'll get ye back in the match. I mean...INJURIES happen ye know."

Becky glanced at her darkly.

"Kay Lee are ye sayin' we should hurt Charlotte?"

Kay Lee licked her lips.

was she nervous? or was it just a habit Kay Lee had? Becky had noticed her doing that a LOT lately.

"do ye think CHARLOTTE would hesitate if it were the other way around?" Kay Lee countered evenly.

"problem with that is I need her in the match so I can win the title." Becky reminded her.

Kay Lee licked her lips again.

"of course Becky, I know that. "I'm just tryin' ta help ye."

Becky sighed.

"I'm sorry Kay Lee. I know I blamed ye when I shouldn't have."

Kay Lee smiled, her icy blue eyes seemed to gleam as they passed a street light.

"it's okay Becky."

Becky stared out the window into the night, thinking.

she liked Kay lee.

she had been a good friend.

and so far she had proved to Becky that she could trust her.

but something felt OFF about her lately.

Becky watched her profile as Kay Lee drove.

the street lights shone in Kay Lee's dark fuchsia red hair as they passed.

Kay lee glanced at her and smiled.

"somethin' on yer mind?"

"nah. just thinkin'" Becky said quietly.

"care ta elaborate?" Kay Lee asked.

"not really."

"ya thinkin o' me naked?" Kay Lee teased.

Becky laughed softly.

"no. I was just thinkin' how good a friend ye've been ta me."

Kay lee licked her lips and laughed softly.

"well it's the nice thing ta do. the RIGHT thing ta do,"

"I know."

Becky paused and took a deep breath.

"what I said earlier...I meant it."

Kay Lee glanced at her.

"I love ya, Kay Lee Ray."

Kay Lee smiled.

"I love ye too, Becky."

Becky turned to the passenger window and gazed longingly out at the city lights and watched as they began to dwindle as the car approached the suburbs.

"do ye want to make it official then?" Kay Lee asked.

Becky looked at her.

"official? what?"

"us. as a couple." Kay Lee said softly.

"we trust each other, we're both good in bed...we have fun." Kay Lee continued.

Kay Lee met Becky's eyes. "and we make a great team."

Becky smiled.

she began to feel at ease again and her earlier suspicions seemed silly.

Becky smiled suddenly feeling bolstered.

"yeah, let's do it."

Kay Lee Ray gave her a huge grin.

"alright! look out world! here comes Becky Lynch and Kay Lee Ray!" Kay Lee declared.

as they neared the edge of town they stopped at the last gas station before the city limits.

Kay lee got out and went into the gas station while Becky got into the driver's seat.

it was a long trip so they would need to switch drivers a couple of times so the the other could sleep.

Kay Lee went inside and picked up some candy, bottled water and iced coffee for the trip,

paying for it with the money she had stolen from Becky's purse while Becky showered back at the Nxt arena before the first motel they had shared.

after paying for the gas and snacks she returned and climbed into the passenger seat.

Becky started up the car.

"what did ya get me?"

"I got gummy worms, a snickers bar, iced coffees and bottled water. take whichever ye want an' ill take the leftovers." Kay Lee told her.

I'll take the gummy worms and iced coffee," Becky told her.

Kay Lee handed her the bag of candy.

"sweets fer my sweet?" Kay Lee said with a grin.

Becky leaned over and gave her a peck on the lips.

"there's yer reward my love." Becky said as she took the iced coffee from Kay Lee.

Kay Lee licked her lips and smiled as she leaned back and peeled the wrapper off of her snickers and took a bite.

they drove on into the night.
