Beating the heat

Summer was never easy in Jump City, but this year was particularly brutal. The heat was simply unbearable throughout the city. Ice villains didn't dare to make heists while the summer scorched on.

The Titans themselves were busy trying to keep cool. Cyborg had several fan attachments modified to his cybernetic while the other lingered around the vents to catch the air conditioning. Beast Boy even sat on the vent in nothing but his underwear to cool off.

"Beast Boy, you want to let the rest of us get some air?" Robin asked.

"So...hot..." Beast Boy moaned.

Starfire lounged on the couch next to Robin. "Even my home world does not become this hot."

Raven tried to focus on her book. Her hood was down for once; anything to keep herself cooled off.

A clunking sound came from the vents as the air conditioning slowly died down. Beast Boy clawed at the vent in desperation. "No! Wait! Come back!"

"Please don't tell me the air is down," Raven groaned.

"It's probably a small glitch," Cyborg said. "I'll get it fixed."

As he went down to the basement, Raven fanned herself with her book as Robin toyed with the collar on his costume. "How are we supposed to keep from overheating now?" Raven asked.

Starfire suddenly sat up from her seat. "Wait! My friend, we have been the fools! There is a simple way to stop the heat!"

"I told you, we can't use the pool," Robin said. "Our swimsuits aren't clean from yesterday."

"No, the suits are what the problem!" Starfire said. "We can keep much cooler without them!"

Beast Boy bolted up in interest. "Is she suggesting what I think she is?"

Starfire thumbed her top as Robin held out his hands to stop her. "Whoa, whoa, Star! You can't walk around the tower naked!"

"Why ever not?" Starfire asked. "On my planet, we think nothing of being in the nude. Especially at home."

"We're not on your planet, Star, we're on Earth," Raven said. "And humans aren't as easygoing as your people."

Raven's warning fell on deaf ears as Starfire began to strip.
