Be nice and gentle with her - she deserves it

"Don't be scared. It's alright," you say quietly and calmly. "I'm not gonna hurt you. And I promise I won't do anything that you don't want. I'm just here to spend time with you."
"Thank you.... for being with me. For giving me a chance."
"It's I who should thank you for inviting me," you reply smiling again. "What would you like to do?"
"Hm, I'll show you my room, ok?"
"Awesome. I'd love to see it."
She leads you upstairs and toward her room, her anxiety slowly fading. She begins to trust you more and apparently starts to have fun being together with you. It feels amazing to be able to make this girl feel less shy and to make her feel good being with someone. You really like seeing her happy.
"We're there."
Her room is a bit bigger than yours and very cozy. Large thick curtains in front of the window, a wardrobe with lots of stickers and fairy lights decorating and illuminating the whole left wall from the vanity stand all the way over to her small desk.
"Your room looks amazing!" you say, speaking the truth.
"Thanks, I'm really glad you like it. I put up those lights myself here," she says, pointing at the fairy lights.
"They look amazing."
"Thanks." She rubs her arm again. "You wanna sit down?"
:"Absolutely."
The two of you sit down on her bed. There is a pair of scissors on her nightstand and remains of a parcel. She must have ordered something by mail recently. You look at her and smile to make her feel safe with you.
"Uhm..." she says, not sure what to say now.

To make it easier for her, you go first. You think about asking her what hobbies she has, but maybe she is scared about talking about such personal things. So you opt with, "It's not easy to be on a new school, so I'm glad I met you, honestly."
She smiles hearing this. "Wow, that actually means a lot to me."
You keep looking at each other until you feel a special connection between you two...
