Be a Consultant

Not wanting to wasting away in a cubical, you are excited to take a job as an IT consultant. This job involves traveling around to different businesses helping them to solve their technology issues.

You were a bit apprehensive at first, but when you find out about all the places you’ll get to travel to, there was no way you could turn it down. Plus, they offered more than twice your current pay.

On your first day, they fly you to the corporate headquarters in New York City. It is a hectic day of getting your corporate laptop, sitting through HR training videos, and, best of all, receiving your company credit card. Towards the end of the day, you meet with the corporate travel agent. A fiery petite redhead named Shelia. She gives you the rundown on the forms for booking flights, hotels, rental cars, etc. Then, just as you are wrapping up, tells you, “Oh, one more thing. Corporate allows you to bring your spouse/significant other on 1 trip with you every 6 months. If you don't have a significant other than you can use that extra ticket to go anywhere you would like.”
