Battleforged Race:

When does an automaton achieve sentience? When does technological or magitech object gain a soul? One may not know where the lines may be drawn, and Battleforged are an example of an issue to which clear answers may not be found. Many battleforged people may find themselves questioning whether they are a what or a who. Some look to justification to prove that they are a "person" but battleforged that find a definitive and satisfactory answer are as rare as a diamond in a coal mine. Has technology gone too far? Those looking for simple answers to the questions surrounding the battleforged are destined for disappointment.

The battleforged need no sleep, they are not susceptible to sapping necromantic magic, poisons, disease, and several other effects depending on their design. They are often built to be capable of **** feats of endurance, quickness, and strength, and can be programmed with variable strengths of intellect, wisdom, and personality. They can often perform with peerless skill in their designed purpose, not to mention several other functions which the creator had never intended. They can be made with a variety of metals, natural materials, and composite materials, and many sport inherent magical qualities and components. The processing power of the mind of a battleforged is dependent on how advanced of a genesis forge they were created in, and what upgrades or modifications have been added since its creation. They can range to slightly slower reaction times than an average human, to quicker than an elf. Any recently created battleforged come standard with perfect eidetic memory, along with the processing speed and power that can rival a supercomputer. They are able to process mathematical and physical predictions on the fly that many other races cannot, making them excellent when it comes predicting the arc of a missile or a sword strike. They often improve with each upgrade, and each generation of genesis forges are more advanced than their predecessors. The capabilities are only limited by the material and magical resources of a particular genesis forge.

Battleforged often live up to their name, with each individual being highly talented in their form of warfare. Several are built and enhanced with those goals in mind. A phalanx or formation fighter might be built with interlocking joints that hold up to a vast amount of ****, invaluable in a shield wall. A battleforged built to be a linebreaker or shocktroop might have adamantine armor reinforcements or plating. A battleforged made for agility might not have any metal components, using composite materials to make up their bodies, and with the quickness to match. An infiltrator battleforged might have an organic sheath that can reform and reshape itself to appear as any creature, complete with modular height and weight controls. A battleforged made to use arcane magic, divine magic, or psionics might be made with materials that inherently boost their ability to harness such forces. Battleforged can also be modified or even completely repurposed and retooled for different aptitudes. There are rumors of prototype battleforged that are capable of retooling themselves on the fly to serve a multitude of purposes, such a battleforged would be immensely versatile and powerful, and the genesis forge capable of creating such individuals would be highly sought after.

Some are built for other purposes such as work, transportation of goods, or any purpose that one could need a tireless sentient being for. There are even battleforged who are made as simulacrums of a particular race, with few physical ways to tell that the battleforged is not indeed one of its imitated race. Some are built with vestigial organs and functions, in order to better blend in with the races with which they associate with. Many battleforged whose initial purpose was infiltration, are built with functional organic matter to simulate eyes, ears, hair, flesh, and even sexual organs. There are few limits to what a battleforged can be designed to be capable of.

Battleforged were and are created in "Genesis Forges" through a combination of magic, manufacturing, alchemy, and occasionally a divine spark. The process in any given genesis forge is often a mystery lost with the **** of the original creators, with the current operators simply following the instructions left from before. Those who are privy to these secrets guard them with **** care, either out of greed, fear, or out of a desire to never see the process repeated and the genesis forges destroyed. Regardless, both old and new genesis forges across Gristhaia are still hammering away, the noises being audible for miles.

Many organizations set out to create battleforged in mass quantities to use as tireless workers, soldiers, and couriers. The results varied wildly. Some battleforged are content with their purpose, finding absolution in completing their tasks that they have been given. However, many others develop their own desires and goals, apart from their creators' intentions, and decide to pursue them, regardless of the wishes of their creators. Many rebellions have ended in mass bloodshed, as rebellious battleforged factions fight their creators along with the battleforged that remain loyal. Such rebellions are either quelled, or result in the birth of an entirely new faction that is often in control of their own genesis forge.

No matter how they came to be present, or the circumstances from which they came to be integrated into civilization, the response to these "newcomers" is varied. Sometimes they are ostracized out of fear and are not permitted entry into the cities. Some civilizations welcome them and their potential benefits with open arms, seeing them as beneficial to their society. More tribal civilizations, while leery of them at first, often come to respect their work ethic and the powerful strength and resilience that is inherent to their people

Luckily civilizations that have the perfect storm of ethics, resources, infrastructure, and impetus to invest in a genesis forge are rare, making battleforged not as common as one would think. There are many areas in which the battleforged are unheard of, and have never seen the likes of a synthetic life-form, and how they would react to the arrival of one is anyone's guess.

The social maturity of any given battleforged individual can vary wildly based on the circumstances that it has been subject to. Those who interface with other people and cultures quickly become attuned to the customs and mannerisms required of a well-adjusted person. Those who do not often socially interface with others are more likely to lack social traits in their personalities and will have difficulties adjusting to social customs and values.

Battleforged "Males":

The concept of sex is somewhat alien to many battleforged, as many are simply built without sexual organs. These asexual battleforged often have no compulsions about modesty either, and see no point to covering their featureless groins. They go about life more or less oblivious of the sexual aspect of culture that many races have. Other battleforged are aware of such social constructs, but are apathetic towards them, with no desire to join such cultures.

However, there are many battleforged whose creators wanted to create them in their likeness, or to serve a purpose, and as such are built with sexual organs. These can be prehensile organs, or merely prosthetic add-ons to the battleforged individual's construction. These raise another series of complex questions for many about the individuality of a battleforged, and how far is too far.

These questions about the ethics of adding sex organs to them are pretty irrelevant to the battleforged, as they were either made with them or not, and that is just as modular as any other part of them. Much of their feelings towards their own sexuality is tied to whether or not they get any sort of tactile response from their sexual organs. After all, what would you care about an appendage that you can't even feel?

The socially awkwardness of most battleforged can be a hindrance to the few who wish to court those who they find attractive. They often struggle with syntax and wording that comes more naturally to those who have grown up speaking a a given language. Being created as fully grown adults, the gradual transition of puberty is not an experience that battleforged individuals are privy to. This can lead to some awkward trials and errors in the course of a sexually active battleforged. They are quick learners though, and quickly pick up on traits, body language, speech patterns and tics that they learn are effective when attracting a prospective partner. Pimpin ain't easy, but it gets a whole lot easier when you can perfectly remember and analyze each person's verbal and nonverbal reactions to each thing you say.

The actual genitalia of a battleforged person is dependent on the individual's equipment, with each having varying dimensions and compositions. There are also variations in refractory periods, sexual endurance, sensitivity, libido, ardor, ejaculation length, intensity, and quantity are all variable, and often modular based on the creator's, the individual's, or the partner's desires. Like any other aspect of a battleforged, the only limit is the parameters of the equipment, and the capabilities of their partner. Therefore, the angle of the dangle must be equivalent to the mass of the ass.
