Batgirl learns more about the Lasso (and Diana)

It didn't take long for Batgirl to realize that Wonder Woman was completely oblivious of the Lasso. But what did it really do? She saw it at work once or twice - she knew it was strong - unbreakable really - and it compelled anyone who was bound with it to tell the truth. But how? And what effect did it really have on Wonder Woman? Her need to jump into action was quickly outweighed by her curiosity. Keeping Wonder Woman a few more minutes with her foot entangled seemed harmless enough.

"Umm.. Diana... I think it would be best if you wouldn't move at all. You know ... it's ... standard protocol if you have a concussion or something." Batgirl clearly wasn't entangled in the Lasso of Truth. She reached out carefully and adjusted Wonder Woman's robe. She was curious, but she felt like she had to respect her dignity. She couldn't stop ogling the woman's pillowy breasts and statuesque thighs though. Some things were too hard to resist. "Mmmmhh ... OK." "I need to talk to you while you're recovering. Keep you conscious." There was some truth in that. "OK."

"So, you know ... I always wondered how your Lasso thing works?" Batgirl asked the question on an innocuous tone. "I have no idea. I just tie them up with it and they can't lie." It wasn't surprising. Artifacts like that always came with a set of instructions, but never with an explanation on why things were the way they were. And superheroes and super heroines were particularly inclined to take their powers for granted. "Were you never curious?"

"Uh ... well ... " Wonder Woman hesitated. "I think I always wondered how it worked." "You did?" "Um, yes. Every time I tied someone down I was asking myself 'Why are they actually feeling? What are they actually experiencing?'" Batgirl stared at the knocked out super heroine. "So you were, actually, curious?" "Um, yes. Very curious. It's been at the back of my mind for a while. Strange how it didn't come up more often." "And you didn't ... like ... think of finding out?" Wonder Woman blushed visibly. "You know there's only one way." Batgirl paused there for a moment, wondering if she was about to cross a line.

"And what way is that?" Batgirl had figured it out already, and she tried to hide the nervous undertone of her voice as she asked. "Well, someone would need to tie me up, you know." "Ah." Batgirl tried a neutral tone, as if what Wonder Woman told her was completely uninteresting. "I mean, who would do that, right?" The answer came back what she hope it would be, but it was still perplexing. "You could." "Oh, gosh, Diana. What's on your mind?" "I really want to know how being tied up with the Lasso feels like. I want you to get the Lasso and tie me up."

Batgirl already knew that Diana wasn't aware that she was under the effect of the Lasso already. She felt a pang, wanting to see that statuesque body would look like, trussed up in rope. But this could also backfire rapidly once Diana realized that being tied up didn't change things much for her. Would she put two and two together and realize that Batgirl had already been messing with her? Or just be as oblivious as she already was?
