Barely

Valerie and Hawk made their way to the garage, as fast as they could. They nested the **** Eva into the back seat of a 4x4.

Hawk took the wheel, speeding out of the garage and getting out of the perimeter before the gates closed, a couple of stray gunshots following them in the distance.

"Iris, we need an extraction ASAP.", said Valerie in the passenger seat of the vehicle.

"I have an eagle about two clicks south-east from your location. Do you have a tail?"

Valerie nervously looked behind them. In the distance, she could see a pair of lights exiting the building, but they had some distance between them - for now.

"We'll be there in 5.", she said. It would be close, but it would have to do.

Hawk pushed the pedal as hard as he could, expertly driving the vehicle to the coordinates Iris had sent them. They arrived at the location, where a helicopter was waiting for them in a deserted field.

Hurriedly, they got off the car and hauled the naked Eva to the helicopter. The chasing vehicle arrived as soon as the helicopter lifted off the ground.

Luckily for them, they gained altitude quickly and left their pursuers behind, and sailed to safety.

"Thank god.", sighed Valerie in relief. This one had been very close - too close for her comfort. She slumped in her seat, the strain of her efforts beginning to catch up to her as her adrenaline subsided.

"Uh, Valerie", she heard Hawk say. "We might have a problem here."

She looked at him, and saw that he was pointing towards Eva's body lying on the floor. Her eyes were still closed, but she was shivering, her entire body convulsing in a way that didn't bode well.
