Barbarian

Sometimes problems need to be solved with finesse. Someone with a quick pair of hands and a quick mind, to precisely deal with the issue at hand. Sometimes situations are best dealt with grace and aplomb, dazzling those who bear witness. But sometimes you just need to hit something really fucking hard.

When employed in formal armies and battles, barbarians are often used as shock troops or linebreakers that charge into ranks to break opposing formations. All too often, generals think of barbarians as no more than incredibly powerful blunt **** akin to a hammer.

However, a shrewd commanders might see numerous applications for such indomitable strength, from coalition forces that capture valuable positions to hold, to special naval units that board and irreparably damage a ship and flee before anyone is able to mount a traditional **** against them.

Barbarians may have many varying traits based on the circumstances in which they live in, but they nearly all share a common ability; the ability for barbarians to work themselves into a city that grants them markedly higher strength, endurance and martial prowess.

While early on in their career, a barbarian depends solely on his or her martial prowess, strength, and rage to carry them through a battle as they hack through their foes with wild abandon, a veteran barbarian may fight in an entirely different manner.

A grizzled and battle-hardened barbarian has seen many a battle, and has begun to form an uncanny ability to sense the rhythm of a battle. They flow with this rhythm, drawing back to over extend their foe, then crashing through their weakened defense.

Seasoned barbarians no longer swing their weapons with abandon, though their strikes have not lost any of their ****, as a person on the receiving end would attest to. They have intuitively learned to wield their weapons in a highly efficient manner, as an extension of their own body and will. They will often either make their own weapons and armor, or have it commissioned to their personal tastes.

The majority of barbarians do not wear heavy armor. They find it cumbersome, and restricts their speed. Though they often sport leather or chainmail armor, it is not unheard of for a barbarian to enter battle with nothing but a weapon, a shield, a helm, and his breeches.However, stories that tell of a raging barbarian charging into battle completely naked are usually exaggerated. Most barbarians believe that armor just slows them down.

After all, why wear armor, when you can BLOCK IT WITH YOUR CHEST!!!
