Her scream gives the monster a warning that she is rushing it, and informs it exactly where she is. This gives it time to prepare its own attack and move out of her way.

Sakura rushes into the forest, but finds nothing. Stopping, she listens to try to hear it, but hears only the eerie silence she heard before. She then hears rustling from both her left and right, and assumes one is a trap while the other is the actual attack. But which side?

Deciding the left, she prepares and attack, but was shocked when it turns out the monster was attacking from both sides. She unprepared, and the tentacles hit her after her attack missed. However, instead of retreating when she is down, the wrap around her wrists. Two others appear and grab her ankles, and then raise her, transporting her across the forest. Sakura struggles against them, but is unable to get any leverage on them. Finally, they bring her all the way back to the monster's core, a mass of tentacles about the size of a car.

Sakura is surprised by it, but keeps struggling, determined to free herself to defeat it. Another tentacle quickly came towards her. Sakura wondered what it would do, but refused to saty put and find out, putting all her efforts into struggling to escape.
