Badly

One second their boss was alive and they were trying to get to him. The next moment he was lying on the dirt of Gotham Woods. Then in another movement he was gone. None of the dryads took it well and fought seriously, going for the throats and hearts of the Bat-Family. Though in the end they failed to get their vengeance, as Swamp Thing was long gone and the Bat-Family was far more skilled and experienced with fighting than they were.

The bat family stood around, none of them saying a word for a while as they stood over the unconscious bodies of the three dryads. Then out of nowhere Batman turned around and leaped at a nearby tree; he pounded into it with vengeance, the others quickly rushing over to pull him off the tree he was pounding into splinters. They were all screaming the same thing at Bruce.

Which were variations of "stop"; he was hurting himself. Eventually they got him to stop, and he stood there breathing heavily for a moment. He then, without a word, ran for Gotham, the others following. The city needed them to help deal with the thistle Pterodactyls who were in its skies. They would get angry and miserable about what they'd help Swamp Thing to do later.

Throughout the rest of Gotham City, pure madness had unfolded across it. As the death of the condiment wizard sent waves through his minions. An active mass firefight was going on in Arkham, and one of the major hair dye companies in Gotham had lost their minds and was attacking everyone in sight with weird dye. Gotham has been turned by the single act of Swamp Thing from a crime-ridden city to a massive asylum that was at war with itself.

The night had gotten even better as the yellow and red Mafias, who'd accidentally been created by the Condiment Wizard, had ended the temporary cease-fire going on between them and Gotham. The two different mafias were being aggressive adults on everyone. Other mafias, the police, private security, and anybody caught in the middle were also on the firing line as far as they were concerned; you were either one of them or the enemy.

Batgirl and Spoiler were not handling it well either; they thought no one would notice. As far as anyone watching then could see well, they were being more aggressive with their punches and kicks; it was ultimately just them trying to get things under control. Though the truth was they were using the nearest criminals as picking bags to help them with the rage of having their master taken from them.

The revived family members of the bat family were going into hysterics about how it couldn't be true and trying their best to comfort each other. The bat family was desperately trying to hold the city together during this night of madness. They were scattered around the city and doing their best to prevent death and end the destruction going on.

Nightwing was jumping from roof to roof, going from one gunfight or break time to the next. Red Hood was being sent from one police melee to the next, using his bike to move fast and his guns to neutralize but not kill. Red Robin was following a path of destruction from one part of the city, trying to find the most destructive people in the city and bringing them down before they did more damage.

Damian, the current Robin, was with Batman, helping deal with criminals and also watching over Batman. Spoiler and Batgirl were just beating their way from one side of the city to the other. Oracle was out of contact for the moment, and so the others had to keep going without her tech support. This night was turning into one of the greatest shitshows in Batfamily history.

They kept going despite how bad things had gotten in so short a time. As they were the Bat family, one way or another they were going to save this city even if it killed them. So began a historical night in Gotham history, a very dark moment in their history but an important one all the same that was definitely going to decide how the city was going to go going forward.
