The quest was about subjugating the babooches roaming in the F area, at least ten of them.
The group actually killed 30 monkeys, but it was only because they met three groups in total as otherwise... this would have been an harder quest, simply because to find babooches in the F area was akin to find a first timer among harlots, not impossibly hard but also not that easy.

20 golden coins as mission reward for 10 babooches, plus another 20 for each of the extra kill. Total, 40 golden coins!
What an haul.

The group packed their things and directly left.
It wasn't that late and anyway the F area was practically the outskirts of the forests so it wouldn't take that long to go back... in fact, they didn't even need two hours before they were lining up to pass through the gates.

As usual Ryu had to stand naked whereas the girls got some vigorous finger-banging, but what happens in the guardroom would stay in the guardroom and once they walked out, none spoke of it like it was the most natural thing to do... well, it wasn't the first nor the last time they'd go through that, so they sort of got used to it by now.

The first thing the group did upon returning was to go back to the Golden Cock, their inn which they hadn't left even after obtaining some money... and the reason was actually quite simple.

Aside from getting used to the place, the prices were affordable even when they were financially in red.

They found out later that initially it was so cheap because they were F ranks and the prices actually doubled as soon as they ranked up to E, but Lia struck some kind of deal with the owner so he'd keep them at F level and would give them the room on credit should they ever not even have enough to pay.

Lia never went too in detail about the deal, but apparently it was something akin to doing his laundry, cleaning his room and occasionally accompany him to play some table game. This way the old man apparently wouldn't need to pay any extra to his staff to take care of him too, and he'd also get some company when he felt lonely.

Once they got to their room everyone changed into casual clothing and passed their equipment to Fira, then everyone got busy with his own role... namely Ryu and Nia going to the guild to turn in their quest and receive the reward, Fira going to the blacksmith for repairs whereas Lia would go meet the inn owner to fulfill their deal.

Like so they got their reward, repaired equipment, paid for the room and board, then night came and went to sleep... another day, another quest, then another one as they went through their daily routine till...
