Back to the dorm

They walked back up to the castle in contemplative silence, Harry stopping them just outside.

"Hold up a minute, I want to be sure...." He watched back the way they had come until he saw figures approaching. "Ah, here they come."

They stood against the wall allowing the first years to help the older girls through the doorway and slipped through behind them.

They watched the girls head down towards their dorms and headed for the tower.

"Um that Hufflepuff, Beth, was that you?"

"Yeah."

"I assume there was a reason?"

"Yeah."

"Ok, good." Ron was quiet for awhile. They had reached their common room when he spoke again. "Hay Harry, if the person causing the problem had been a guy, what would the plan be? Cause honestly I'm not down for the same punishment."

"Honesty I don't know. The girls kinda fell into my lap. I don't have definite knowledge of a guy that still goes here so I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

"Knowing Malfoy, we might start thinking about it."

Harry climbed in bed content with the knowledge that Ron was loyal to a fault.
