Back to her dorm room to hang out.

She led Jaune through the halls of Beacon, back to her dorm. He followed, bemused all the while, and gaped at the setup they had. "Bunk beds?" was all he could get out after a moment. And alarmingly unstable ones at that.

"What? Weiss brought waaaay too many things," she pouted.

"...well, she is an heiress to a large company, I guess she would be used to... Certain comforts," Jaune said.

"So, tell me about yourself!" Ruby said.

"Oh, um... It's kinda hard to open up on the spot, isn't it?" Jaune asked.

"Maybe, but I wanna know!" she said.

"Fine, but you gotta tell me about yourself in exchange," he replied.

"Fine, but let's talk over tea... Or maybe coffee, which do you prefer?"

"Coffee if you have it."

"Hey, that's one thing I learned about you already!" she said happily, going to prepare it. "What's your favorite food?"

"I like potatoes in just about all their forms... Mashed, fries..." Jaune replied. "I'm also fond of Pumpkin Pete's cereal..."

"Say... I didn't register it in the Emerald Forest... But doesn't your hoodie have a cute little bunny rabbit, just like that cereal mascot?" she asked, barely holding back laughter.

"Oh yeah... You probably saw it while I had loaned it to Weiss," he said.

She then started laughing. "So I didn't imagine it! What did you do!? Send in a box top for a prize!?"

"...yeah, fifty!" he replied, flustered. He immediately wished he could have seen his mouth shut when she began cackling.

Once she had it out of her system, he changed the subject while she grabbed the coffee. "Any other questions?"

"Any siblings?"

"Seven... All sisters," he said. "You think Yang's hard to deal with, try being horribly outnumbered seven to one by siblings of the opposite gender."

"...okay, that does sound bad... Probably made you do a lot of girly things..." she teased.

"...they braided my hair and made me learn how to dance, and a huge amount of other things..." he admitted with a grumble.

"...pffht, tee hee!" she chuckled.

"...you laugh like you did when I mentioned Pumpkin Pete, I'm gonna dump this hot coffee on you," he said in a dull tone that clearly wasn't serious about it.

"S-sorry!" she sniggered. "So... Why did you want to become a Hunter?"

"Well, it's kind of in my family, my grandfather fought in the war, and I inherited his weapons..."

"Ah... Well, you gotta appreciate the classics," she shrugged.

(They hadn't had this conversation at the start like in Canon, because Jaune had been preoccupied with the Note.)

They talked a bit more about Jaune for a bit, before he finally said, "Okay... Your turn..."
