Back to being a hero

In the morning, you check the news while the girls make breakfast. There's still some reporting about your exploits as The Ringer and the mayor is quoted in the Tribune praising your thwarting of the attempted terrorist attack two days ago.

That's when you decide that you don't need an alternative identity and you call the Tribune's offices to tell them you're turning down the job offer. After you hang up, the editor, Laura calls you back to ask you why, but you decline to state a reason and end the conversation abruptly. You look up the rest of the news online for something interesting until you find what you're looking for. It's a video of some warlord in a third world country that was just posted a few minutes ago. Apparently he's one of the most wanted war criminals in the world and rarely seen. However, the city where he was just recorded in is deep within the territory he controls and nobody can get to him. Nobody except for you.

Quickly, you look up a picture of the Interpol headquarters. It turns out to be in France and you find a few public pictures of the place. Then, you stop time and teleport to the place in the video where the warlord was just seen. It's some sort of crowded market place and it takes you a while to locate him. He's surrounded by heavily armed bodyguards and you find some towels nearby to tie his limbs together, blindfold him, and stuff into his mouth. After that, you teleport with him to France where you leave him on the front step of Interpol, with a note from you that says: "Courtesy of The Ringer." You even look up the translation on your phone and write it in french too.

With that done, you teleport back to the mansion and restart time. The girls are just finishing up breakfast and only Melanie had noticed your position had moved, though she doesn't say anything. It must have taken a while for the authorities to realize what happened, and it's only when you're done with breakfast that you get a breaking news alert on your phone about the warlord's apprehension, thanks to The Ringer.

It had only taken you a few minutes, but just like that, you had accomplished something that world governments had struggled to do. When Elena sees the news, she smiles and drags you by the hand upstairs, while the other girls follow right behind.
