Negana was lost in thought as she and her guards walked back to base. Amber and Onyx chattered excitedly about the fight between Gerwald and Alexa and how, next year, with a bit of luck, maybe it would be the two of them fighting and stripping each other for their audience.

Emily thought about what she had just witnessed. She couldn’t help a feeling of excitement picturing Gerwald roughly tearing that girl’s panties off her. And then he had helped her up when she was spread out on the grass. The defeated knight had clung on to him then, pressing herself against his naked torso perhaps to hide from the cheering crowd, perhaps for comfort. Maybe both. He had wrapped his arms around her protectively and Emily found herself wishing that had been her. Except without the part where she was stripped naked in front of an audience.

Back in their tent the three girls sat on Negana’s bed for a little while and chatted about how the day had gone. The battle this morning had been fun, although Amber was annoyed that she had been defeated by some kid with a home-made Warhammer. Emily knew she would enjoy going out for a drink with the girls, but she couldn’t take her mind away from the thought of Gerwald. She felt like a silly schoolgirl as yesterday she was crushing on lovely handsome Big Ted, today it was big scary Gerwald. She wanted to find him, but she had no idea where he might be. Perhaps she should forget all about going for drinks or finding Ted or Gerwald, and go out with a sword and practise fighting; after all, she didn’t feel that she did very well during the battle today. Or she could just try to get a good night’s sleep and ensure that she feels refreshed and ready for whatever tomorrow should bring?
