Back home

As soon as Lauren got home she hurried into her room, covering the rip in her pants. She eagerly threw off the torn pants, which were an exposing reminder of her humiliating day, and pulled on her pajamas. She spent the afternoon pouting and reliving her disastrous day until her mother called.

"Lauren, your show is on! Everyone come watch!!"

Lauren didn't want to go out, but knew she'd have to face her mother's wrath if she didn't. So reluctantly she came out into the living room. She saw her sister and step brother on the couch, with an opening for her between them. She reluctantly squeezed in between the pair, trying to ignore their gloating looks as the show began...
