Sean went home and made some dinner to distract himself. “Don’t get your hopes up. It’s not like she’s going to fuck someone tonight,” he told himself. Sure enough and our and a half after he got home Chloe turned up. She was a little tipsy but other than that looked unchanged. She was still in that fetching outfit.

Sean put some dinner in front of her and joined her at the table. “How did it go?” he asked with an eager expression.

“Good,” said Chloe through a mouthful of food. “It was fun getting to know some of the people you work with.”

“Anyone stand out?”

“Kathy’s a riot. We swapped numbers. I think we might go out some time.”

“Oh, okay, anything else?” he asked hopefully.

Chloe have him a reprimanding look. “Nothing happened. I wouldn’t tell you if it did because you want me to have an affair. If you excitedly prod me for information then what is the point? I might as well shag someone and tell you all about it. You have to play the game here. It was your idea.”

“Sorry, sorry, you are right. Should we plan to go to the next one?”

“That’s probably a good idea. Don’t make excuses and go this time though or it will look odd. It will just give them the chance to get to know me better. Anyone **** can get my contact info. They could always ask Kathy for my number.”

“Okay, I promise I’ll stop asking.”

“Good because I will play dumb now and if you start accusing me without evidence then I’m going to get really mad at you. If you are going to challenge me you better be damn sure you have proof because if you don’t I will behave like you accused me of cheating and accusations can be very damaging to a marriage.”

Sean was taken aback by her sternness. She was taking this seriously. Despite the surprise, he was secretly pleased. She wasn’t going to let him wiggle his way out of this game and deep down, that was what he wanted. He would be suspicious of her in almost everything she did but he couldn’t let that get in the way of their relationship. He was going to have to learn to bottle his suspicions.

He looked at his wife devouring her dinner with an appetite spurred on by booze. She was so cute when she was hungry. As he looked at her he began to remember all his workmates checking her out and he began to get excited. “After dinner do you want to go to bed?”

She gave him a grin. “Oh yes? What has got you so worked up?”

“I think it might be those shorts.”

“Do you like them? I thought they showed off my assets quite nicely.”

“Everyone was admiring your assets. Me most of all.”

Chloe shoved the last bit of food into her mouth. “Come on then,” she said with a mouth full of food. “But you are getting me desert in bed afterwards.”

“Aren’t I desert enough?” he asked with mock outrage.

“I love you babe but you are no chocolate moose.” She walked towards the bedroom, swaying her bottom as she went. “Come on, you can help me out of these shorts.”
